From Washington/Baltimore area
From the Washington Capital Beltway, take Indian Head Highway (MD 210) south toward Indian Head (from VA Exit 2; from MD Exit 3). At 14 miles you will pass through Bryans Road and continue on Rt 210 straight through the traffic light crossing MD 227. About 1.1 miles past the light, veer to the right onto Chapmans Landing Road. Follow for 1.6 miles to the gated entrance of Mount Aventine and Chapman State Park, located on the right.
From Richmond Area
Enter Maryland on Rt 301 north. Once you reach the town of LaPlata, turn left onto Rt 225 (Hawthorne Rd). Go to the very end of Rt 225 and turn right onto Rt 210 north. Go straight at the blinking light for Glymont Ave, then turn left onto Chapman Landing Road. Continue to the right on Chapman Landing Rd. Follow for 0.1 miles to the gated entrance of Mount Aventine and Chapman State Park, located on the left.
